GHL A2P Compliance — Chat Widget Shortcut

The Shortcut

A2P 10DLC registration requires Terms of Service + Privacy Policy links that match the sending domain. GHL's chat widget, when embedded on the client's site, auto-injects compliant Terms/Privacy links. Trust Center pulls those URLs automatically.

Embed the widget → submit Trust Center → A2P approval accelerates from days-with-rejections to first-try.

End-to-End Flow

  1. Sub-account setup
    • Sites → Chat Widget → enable → copy embed snippet.
    • Paste before </body> on the client site (or GHL-hosted funnel).
  2. Trust Center
    • Agency → Phone Integration → Trust Center.
    • Business profile: EIN, address, website (matches widget domain).
    • Use-case: Marketing or Mixed (Mixed passes broader SMS content).
    • Sample messages: 3 real ones, opt-out language included (Reply STOP to opt out).
  3. Brand + Campaign
    • Submit brand → wait for score (usually ~30 min).
    • Campaign → link to brand → submit.
  4. Approval — 1–5 days. Resubmit-cost avoided because the widget auto-supplies compliance URLs.

Messaging Limit Workaround

New sub-accounts default to an 8-stage segment cap that kneecaps cold SMS at scale. Fix:

Agency Settings → Phone Integration → Account Creation → Messaging Limit

  • Set to messages-per-day mode
  • Value: 1500
  • Applies to newly created sub-accounts only (existing ones keep old cap)

Opt-Out & Compliance Hygiene

  • Double opt-in on forms (GHL form → confirmation workflow → second consent SMS).
  • STOP keyword handling is automatic once A2P is approved.
  • Keep Terms/Privacy on the same domain as the sending number's registered website.
