GoHighLevel SMS Limit Configuration for New Sub-Accounts
Problem
New GHL sub-accounts are restricted to segment-based messaging limits that progress through 8 stages, severely limiting outbound SMS volume.
Solution
Configure new sub-accounts to use daily message limits instead.
Steps
- Go to Agency Settings
- Navigate to Sub Account Settings
- Click Phone Integration
- Find Account Creation section
- Locate Messaging Limit at the bottom
- Click Update Limit
- Change from segments to Messages per day/month
- Set to maximum: 1,500 messages per day
Important Notes
- This setting only applies to new sub-accounts created after the change
- Does not retroactively fix existing sub-accounts at max limit
- Existing accounts at limit require support ticket
- May need to delete old sub-account and create new one (takes ~24 hours to process deletion)
